Colette Pitcher

2001 was Colette’s twentieth anniversary as a full-time artist since graduating from the University of Northern Colorado with a BA in Fine Art.  Since that time, Colette has worked as a graphic designer in Colorado and New York, receiving an MBA from the University of Long Island, and has been as illustrator, artist, framer, writer, teacher, publisher, sculptor, gallery owner, festival organizer, calligrapher, community leader and business woman.

Colette enjoys traveling and plein-aire painting.  “It is my intention to design paintings that make the viewer take notice of something otherwise overlooked, convey a mood, or communicate feeling.  This is achieved through dramatic use of light and shadow, heightened color, and expressive brushwork.”
